News is spreading around the intertubes of some amazing incident that happened over in the USA. Below is exactly what is going on, as originally reported here. Honestly i am surprised this never came to light a while ago. Currently i believe it’s the top story on Digg and a few other news sites.
Just before Valentine’s Day, Woody and Rizzuto the morning show team at the Point (105.7 FM) an American Radio Station took a call from a listener named Chris. He had been dating his girlfriend, Ashley, for five years. Chris was going to propose on Valentine’s Day, at least until he found out that she was allegedly cheating on him.
Instead of dumping her on that day, however, he decided to do the deed live on the air.
Now i don’t know about everyone but i find that just a little harsh, but i will let you be the judge of this.

Yes i am human but some of my viewers are not. No I’m not referring to aliens. I am referring to spam bots. As a result I have made a few changes to the way this site works.
I wanted better control over what gets posted and who signs up. Basically i have added a Captcha. When you register you will be required to enter a few letters or numbers. You will also require a user account to post comments. I would rather people have accounts as when they post comments it’s simple to see who is posting and you basically “own” those comments.
I have kept the Captcha rather simple, but at the same time it should stop spam bots. It’s not one of these over complicated Captchas, heck it even has a button that allows you to have the words sounded out. But hopefully you should be able to view it with ease unlike some Captchas i have seen!
Well i hope this works all right and if there are any changes that can be made i would like to hear them.
I use a HTC Touch Pro running Windows Mobile 6.1. It has it’s own built in GPS which works flawlessly with Google maps. I have used it many times to help me navigate to locations, in fact sometimes i would be rather lost without it. (No pun intended).
There is this bit of software called Glympse that i sometimes use. Glympse basically uses the GPS in my phone and a map overlay and allows me to send my current journey to contacts. So they can see where i am, where i have been and where i am going. However for some rather odd unknown reason Glympse decided to get a bit confused, even though i had full HSDPA and full GPS signal. In fact it amazed me so much i fired up the screen-shot software for my Windows Mobile phone and took a shot.
I was meant to be on a train coming back from London via London Bridge. Now i have used this before without issue. But for some odd reason it decided my location was in Firth Of Forth traveling at around 230MPH. So i closed the program and re-opened it and it still done the same thing! I know I’m on the fast train but i highly doubt the fast train goes 230MPH and i highly doubt it goes via the sea! I then checked via Google maps and it had me in my exact GPS location which was on a train just leaving London Bridge Station.
I decided to visit a bar with live music up London. The reason for this was because my friend Alex was performing there and her friends band was as well. The place i went to in question was situated a short walk from Old Street Underground Station. The place i went to was called “The Underbelly” and was in a road called Hoxton Square (Map).
Overall the area it’s in is very nice and quite, a place where you can sit down have a few drinks and chat and there’s hardly any traffic. The bar was split into two levels, down in the basement area was a bar and stage. Then upstairs was a Bar and outside seating. Anyway my friend Alex and her friend Talya where doing some dancing while one of the bands called Lillian Gish where performing. Talya was doing belly dancing at first, then Alex came on doing some rather relieving Burlesque dancing.
Basically she started of with a bunch of flower’s, handed them out, then took of her gloves and shoes. She then got a few people to undo some straps holding her tights up, and then simply removed the corset. Then ended up waving nipple tassels around. Overall it was very tasteful, and she kept her dignity as such. As she was very worried they might fall off or something would go wrong etc. I am really surprised she did this. However according to a few of her friends she used to do this before as well. Anyway to finish the event both Alex and Talya ended with a fan dance, which i thought was rather elegant. Overall the evening was fun and enjoyable and i think Alex had a crazy amount of fun, i think to the point where she wanted to do this again!. It was rather good, and i am surprised she had the courage to stand up there and do this! I am very proud of my friend Alex right now.
I have a 17inch IMac at home that I sometimes use for Photo and Media editing etc. I use Aperture 2 on it, and finally decided to upgrade to Aperture 3. However little did I know that I was opening a can of worms there!
Basically there appears to be a massive and I mean massive memory leak in this software. It decided to fill 100GB of space. Basically what happened is, I updated the software, and it started converting my library. So I left it running and when I came back my IMac was saying “Out Of Disk Space”. I was like that’s bizarre, as I only really have like 10GB of Pictures in the library, and some music. There should be no way in hell that software could have managed to fill 100GB of space, but somehow it did! Not only that but it also used up all the RAM as well! I cleaned up the system and currently it seems to work well and there are no issues. Maybe it did not like a setting or something. However i am going to keep an eye on this!
Apparently I am not alone in this issue either, according to the apple support forums that is. It seems to be the way Aperture handles the swap file. Oh well nothing major lost anyway, backups FTW!
